ADKO Engineering as a sub to Parsonâ€™s Brinkerhoff was selected to provide Construction Management for the construction of new five bridges for Sperry Road Extension Project. These new five bridges consist of 3 span cast-in-place prestress box girder on seat type abutments and 648-14â€ square Precast Prestressed Concrete Piles. Coordination included multiple projects in the vicinity of the project. This includes PG&Eâ€™s raising of power lines and Delta Water. Consultantâ€™s responsibilities: Provided Structures Representative on site. Coordination with other agencies: Caltrans, Salinas Rebar, CONDOR, San Joaquin County, Delta Water.
ADKO Engineering provided assistance, as required, to the City during bidding of the project. This assistance included answering questions regarding the contract documents during the advertising of the project and assisting the City in preparing addenda to the PS&E package during the advertisement period.
ADKO Engineering provided a structures representative, to Parsonâ€™s Brinkerhoff. This structures representative services included making sure the bridge is built per contract documents, attended weekly meetings, monitored schedule, answered questions regarding the contract documents during the advertising of the project and assisting the City during construction period.
Construction support services included:
Attending the project pre-construction meeting; Reviewing and commenting on contract change orders; Preparing plan revisions as necessitated by contract change orders; Providing construction engineering assistance as required; Reviewing and approving all submittals and shop drawings.
